Family Group: (Brother 1 Wounded Accidentally) Pair: British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 529 Pte J.J.H.McKinney 10 L.T.M.B. A.I.F. Both medals impressed.; (Brother 2 Killed Accidentally) Single: British War Medal 1914-18. 528 Pte. G.W.McKinney 10 L.T.M.B. A.I.F. Impressed. The first medal with contact marks, the second medal with two oxidation spots on obverse and ribbon damaged, the last medal without ribbon, otherwise fine - very fine.

Together with Rising Sun hat badge (KC) in oxidised bronze; Australian Military Forces medium size button (KC) in oxidised bronze; Lawn Bowls Association Victoria badge in silvered and enamel; St James Elsternwick School badge in silver (no suspension); France, FS Balny ship's crest medallion in silvered bronze; eagle with cross on head badge (no securing fitting); star (possibly Russian red star) badge; Australian medalets (3, in poor condition); also oval cut blue gemstone (possibly a sapphire) (approx .75ct).

Melbourne, Vic: Enl.07Feb1916 at Melbourne, Vic, in 39Bn with previous service of 1 year in Senior Cadets at Elsternwick and 3 years in CMF; Emb.27May1916; trf to 10 LTMB 05Aug1916; to France 22Nov1916; to hospital with scabies 28Jan1918; killed accidentally 24Feb1918; Buried at Chateux Rosenberg Military Cemetery near Messines, Belgium later exhumed and reburied at Royal Berks Cemetery Extension, Ploegsteert, Belgium.
