Roland Edward Acril Richardson served with the West Riding Brigade, Royal Garrison Artillery, Territorial Force and went to France with that unit on 24Jan1918; promoted to Lieutenant, RGA TF on 24Dec1918 while attached to 342nd Siege Battery, RGA; rejoined the army as 2 Lieutenant, Royal Artillery, Regular Army Emergency Commission on 16Sep1939; resigned his commission as a Captain on 20Jul1940.
