| Lot description: ISLAMIC, Anatolia & al-Jazira (Post-Seljuk). Artuqids (Mardin). al-Muzaffar Da'ud II, AH 769-778 / AD 1368-1376. Fals (Bronze, 15 mm, 1.39 g, 2 h), Mardin, AH 773 = 1371/2. The names of the four Rashidun Caliphs within a circle; in the margin, 'lā ilāha illā Allāh Muḥammad rasūl Allāh' ('There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah' in Arabic). Rev. In the middle, 'al-sulṭān al-malik al-Muẓaffar' ('Sultan [and] King al-Muzaffar' in Arabic); above, 'ḍuriba bi Mārdīn' ('Struck in Mardin' in Arabic); below, 'thalāth wa sabʿīn wa sabʿa miʾa' ('773' in Arabic).
