Within a central circle, 'bi amr / Marwān ibn / Bashīr' ('By the order of Marwan ibn Bashir' in Arabic); in the margin, 'Muḥammad rasūl Allāh ar[salahū bi al-hudā]' ('Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. He [i.e. Allah] sent him with guidance' in Arabic). Rev. Within a central circle, jerboa to right; in the margin, 'bi[sm Allāh ḍuriba] hādhā al-fals bi Ḥimṣ' ('In the name of Allah.
