Fals (Bronze, 20 mm, 2.46 g, 11 h), al-Mawsil, citing governor al-Walid ibn Talid (AH 114-121 / AD 732-739). Within a star of two overlapping squares, 'lā ilāha / illā Allāh / waḥdahū' ('There is no deity but Allah, the One' in Arabic). Rev. Within a square, 'Muḥammad / rasūl / Allāh' ('Muhammad is the messenger of Allah' in Arabic); in the margin, 'bism Allāh amara / bihī al-amīr / al-Walīd ibn Talīd / bi al-Mawṣil' ('In the name of Allah.
