| Lot description: Nepal, Kingdom of Patan, Jaya Ranajit Malla, also King of Bhatgaon (1762-1763), Mohar, NS 882 (1762), legend in central square, semicircles and four larger scalloped petals around, rev. 'Ghiyas-ud-din' type, trident in central circle, sword with garland above, 5.37g (Rhodes, Nepal 561; RGV 501), some softness to the higher points, dark tone in the fields, very fine, an ever popular type, scarce. The Klaus Bronny Collection of Bhutanese and Nepalese Coins The 'Ghiyas-ud-din' design seen on the reverse of this coin, was also used by Jaya Ranajit Malla on coinage struck for use in the Kingdom of Bhatgaon.
