(x) South India, Malabar/Sri Lanka (c. 16th-18th century), gold Viraraya Fanams (14), stylised lion / 'viraraya symbol' rev. figure derived from a standing boar (Codrington 168), some slight deposits in fields, pleasingly struck and mostly well centred, showing gradual adaptation of design over time, extremely fine to extremely fine (14).
