| Lot description: France Charles X gold "Coronation / Wedding" Medal 1825 (1876) UNC Details (Cleaned) NGC, F. - Sb.80 b. 45.5mm. 74.60gm. By Gayrard. A fascinating example of an 1825 Charles X gold coronation medal, later repurposed as a wedding medal. The edge, unable to be viewed in its current slabbed state, bears the names of the spouses: Eudoxe Regnouf de Vains (1836-1907), Lieutenant-Colonel of the Territorial Infantry, and Isabelle Poujol d'Acqueville (1855-1892). This is a unique treat for French gold and exonumia specialists.
