| Lot description: PHRYGIA. Acmoneia. Agrippina Junior, Augusta, 50-59. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.92 g, 12 h), L. Servenius Capito and Julia Severa, circa 55. ΑΓΡΙΠΠΙΝΑΝ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗΝ Draped bust of Agrippina Junior to right; before, two grain ears and poppy. Rev. [ΕΠΙ ΣΕΡ]ΟΥΗΝΙΟΥ ΚΑΠΙΤΩΝΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΙΟΥΛΙΑΣ ΣΕΟΥΗΡΑΣ / ΑΚΜΟΝΕΩΝ Artemis advancing right, holding bow in her left hand and drawing arrow from quiver with her right; before, small figure of Nike advancing right, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond over her left shoulder. BMC 36. RPC I 3173. SNG Copenhagen 25. A wonderful coin, beautifully preserved and with one of the finest Provincial portraits of Agrippina in existence.
