| Lot description: THRACE. Deultum. Tranquillina, Augusta, 241-244. 'As' (Orichalcum, 23 mm, 7.35 g, 7 h). SAB TRANQVILLINA AVG Diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina to right. Rev. COL FL PAC DEVLT Marsyas standing right, raising his right hand and holding wine-skin over his left shoulder. Draganov 1499-1503. RPC VII.2, 1057. Varbanov 2949. Yurukova 421. A lovely example with a fine glossy patina and an impressive portrait. Thin flan crack, otherwise, extremely fine. From a European collection, formed before 2005. Estimate: 350 CHF |  |
