| Lot description: TROAS. Sigeion. Circa 350-300 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 13 mm, 1.91 g, 9 h). Head of Athena facing slightly to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet and pearl necklace, and with her hair flowing loose. Rev. ΣIΓE Owl standing right, head facing; to upper left, crescent. SNG Arikantürk 764–76. SNG Copenhagen 496-7. SNG von Aulock 7637. An exceptional example with a very attractive facing head of Athena. Minor die break on the helmet, otherwise, extremely fine.
