Lot description: Basiliscus & Marcus. AD 475-476. AV Solidus (20mm, 4.47 g, 6h). Constantinople mint, 8th officina. Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield / Basiliscus and Marcus seated facing on double throne, both nimbate, both holding mappa and globe; star and cross above; H//CONOB. RIC X 803; Depeyrot 98/1; Biaggi –. Lightly toned with some luster, small metal flaw, graffito, minor marks, minor deposits. Good VF. Rare.
