Lot description: Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. AR Quinarius (15mm, 1.91 g, 1h). Rome mint. Struck AD 207. Laureate head right / Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm frond. RIC IV 323; King 16; BMCRE p. 228, 22 (Septimius and Caracalla hybrids) and p. 381, 136 (Septimius, Caracalla, and Geta barbarous and irregular); RSC 569. Toned, some roughness and porosity, slightly ragged edge. Good VF. High grade for issue. An extremely rare issue muling a reverse intended for Caracalla.
