Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (18.5mm, 3.85 g, 76h). Emerita mint; P. Carisius, legate. Struck circa 25-23 BC. Bare head left / Trophy of Celtiberian arms, consisting of helmet, cuirass, shield, and javelins, erected on heap of round shields, lances, and other arms. RIC I 4b; RSC 402; CNR II 124/4 (this coin). Wonderful old cabinet tone. Near EF.
