Lot description: LYDIA, Tmolus-Aureliopolis. Antinoüs. Died AD 130. Æ (25mm, 11.75 g, 12h). Struck under Hadrian. Bareheaded and draped bust of Antinoüs right / Antinoüs, as Tmolus, standing left, holding knotted staff and holding basket on his head. Hochard 2738 (D2/R3); Kurth 12; RPC III 2389; Blum 1. Earthen brown patina, cleaning scratches. VF. Superior to any of the specimens cited in Hochard, Kurth, or RPC. Estimate: 500 USD |
