PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy VI Philometor. Second sole reign, 163-145 BC. AR Didrachm (19mm, 5.50 g, 12h). Uncertain mint in Cyprus. Struck circa 150 BC. Diademed and draped bust right of Ptolemy as Dionysos, thyrsos over shoulder / Eagle, with closed wings, standing left on thunderbolt. Svoronos 1083β–γ (same obv. die); Olivier Group 3, 2594–5 (obv. die D24); SNG Copenhagen 637. Rough horn silver deposits, cleaning scratches. VF.
