SICILY, Akragas. Circa 415-406 BC. Æ Hemilitron (28mm, 21.84 g, 1h). Eagle, head raised and wings spread, standing right on fish / Crab holding serpent in claw; six pellets (mark of value) around, conch shell and octopus below. Westermark, Coinage Period III, Series 2, 633.2 (2.O5/R12 – this coin); CNS 40; HGC 2, 134; SNG München 112 (same dies). Dark green-brown patina, spots of red-brown encrustation, some weakness to strike, minor flan flaws on reverse. Near VF.
