CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 272-240 BC. AR Nomos (19mm, 6.35 g, 8h). Reduced standard. Youth on horseback left, crowning horse and holding rein; ΣY to right, ΛYKI/NOΣ below / Phalanthos, preparing to throw trident left, riding dolphin left; to right, owl standing left, head facing. Vlasto 836–41; HN Italy 1025. Faint iridescent tone, underlying luster, a little die wear. Good VF.
