Boiotia, Thebes, (395-338 B.C.), silver stater (12.11 g), Apol.. magistrate, obv. Boiotian shield, rev. amphora in incuse concave field, across field to left AP and to right OL, grapes on branch above, (cf.S.2398, BCD 565 [Triton IX p.105 [same dies] suggests 363-338 B.C.], Head 'Boeotia' p.65, Hepworth D3 No.11 on list, BMC 115-6, SNG Cop.317 [same reverse die]). Lightly toned, slightly off centred on obverse, nearly extremely fine and rare.
