Lot description: Nero. AD 54-68. Æ Sestertius (34mm, 26.15 g, 8h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck circa AD 67. Laureate head right, globe at point of neck / Nero standing left with praetorian prefect on low platform to right, addressing three soldiers to left, standing right, the first two holding signa; the praetorian camp in the background; S C across fields, ADLOCVT COH in exergue. RIC I 564; WCN 459. Brown patina, porosity, areas of roughness and weak strike, a few cleaning scratches. VF. Very rare – one of only two examples on CoinArchives.
