Gaius (Caligula). AD 37-41. Æ As (29mm, 10.44 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 37-38. Bare head left / Vesta seated left on ornamental throne, holding patera and scepter; S C across fields. RIC I 38. Green patina, a few minor spots of roughness. VF. An attractive example of this popular Julio-Claudian type.
