Stater circa 425-395, AR 22 mm, 12.18 g. Boeotian shield, decorated with club. Rev. [Θ – Ε] Head of Dionysus r., bearded and wearing an ivy wreath; all within incuse square. BCD Boiotia 436. SNG Delepierre 1354. Kraay-Hirmer 458 (this coin).
Rare. A portrait of excellent Classical style and a pleasant old cabinet tone. Reverse
slightly off-centre, otherwise good very fine / about extremely fine
