Tetradrachm circa 420, AR 24 mm, 17.23 g. Slow quadriga driven r. by charioteer holding reins and kentron; in field above, Nike flying l. to crown him. Rev. ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣI – Ο – Ν Head of nymph Arethusa r., hair enclosed in ornamented saccos drawn together at top, wearing necklace and earring; on neck, A. Around, four dolphins swimming clockwise. Lovely old cabinet tone. Insignificant die-break on reverse, otherwise about extremely fine
