| Lot description: Ancients Galba (AD 68-69). AR denarius (17mm, 3.50 gm, 5h). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 2/5, marks. Spain (Tarraco?), April-late AD 68. GALBA-IMP, Galba on horse prancing left, in military attire, reins in left hand, right arm raised in gesture of adlocutio / HISPANIA, draped bust of Hispania right, two grain ears before, two javelins behind, round shield below truncation. RIC I 2. This is a spectacular piece with phenomenal toning, emphasized by a luminous glow seemingly from within.
