| Lot description: Ancients SCYTHIA. Geto-Dacians. Coson (ca. after 54 BC). AV stater (20mm, 8.38 gm, 12h). NGC Gem MS 5/5 - 5/5. Sarmatia, Olbia. KOΣΩN, Roman consul (L. Junius Brutus) walking left, accompanied by two lictors fore and aft, ΟΛΒ monogram in left field / Eagle standing left on scepter, with spread wings, clutching laurel wreath in right talons; pellet below raised foot. RPC I 1701a. Struck from new dies and shows no perceivable sign of wear. Pleasing toning and lustrous flan.
