Rx: IC - XC / NI - KA (Jesus Christ will conquer), Patriarchal cross on base. Bland's confirmation of the follis being minted by Nicephorus Basilacius, in 1992, is the accepted attribution due to obverse visible legend containing part of this usurper's name, BAC.After much research by many scholars, and because this coin has a relatively complete reverse, it has been determined that this is the Usurper Nicephorus Basilacius.
