Roman Empire, Valentinian I (AD 364-375), AV Solidus, Nicomedia, c. 364-367, D N VALENTINIANVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. RESTITVTOR REPVBLICAE, Emperor standing right, in military attired, holding labarum decorated with christogram in right hand, and Victory, standing left upon globe and crowning him, in his left, SMNE in exergue, 4.10g (Cohen 28; RIC 2b; Depeyrot 10/1), lightly scratched, slightly clipped flan, but lustrous near very fine.
