Kingdom of Macedon, Antiogonos II Gonatas (277-239 BC), AR Tetradrachm, struck c. 271-260, horned head of Pan left, lagobolon over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield, rev. BASILEOS ANTIGONOY, Athena Alkidemos advancing left, shield decorated with aegis on left arm, preparing to cast thunderbolt held aloft in right hand, crested Macedonian helmet to inner left, monogram to inner right, 17.11g (Panagopoulou TEA Period I, Group 31, 105 (O5/R98); HGC 3.1, 104; SNG Alpha Bank 897 (this obverse); SNG Ashmolean 3259; SNG Delepierre 1063; SNG Copenhagen 1199), nicely struck, toned and detailed, good very fine.
