Trio of Nomoi of Magna Graecia (3): i) Calabria, Taras, AR Nomos, Philiarchos, Sa... and Aga..., magistrates, c. 302-280 BC, youthful nude jockey on horse standing right, crowning horse with wreath held in right hand, SA above left, PHILI/ARCHOS between lefts of horse, rev. TARAS, Phalanthos seated astride dolphin to left, holding bunch of grapes in right hand and resting left on back of dolphin, 7.69g (HN Italy 960; SNG ANS 1052; Vlasto 675), toned, some softening to details but very fine for type; ii) Calabria, Taras, AR Nomos, Dai.. and Phi..., magistrates, Nude warrior riding horseback right, carrying two spears and preparing to throw a third, DAI below horse, rev. Phalanthos, riding dolphin left, holding spear and shield decorated with hippocamp, conch shell below, PHI to left, 7.71g (Fischer-Bossert group 77, 986 (V383/R757); HN III 935; Vlasto 596), struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise well-struck and lightly toned, about very fine; iii) Campania, Neapolis, AR Nomos, c. 300-275 BC, wreathed head of nymph right, wearing earring, club behind and A before, rev.
