INDIA. Kushan Empire. Huvishka (ca. AD 151-190). AE didrachm (25mm, 8.15 gm, 11h). VF. Kushan standard, Kapisha, main mint (probably Begram), early phase, elephant rider series. ÞAONANOÞAO OOHÞKI KOÞANO, Huvishka on elephant advancing right, wearing tall round headdress, diadem with long ribbons, and tunic over trousers, couched spear in right hand / MAO, Mao standing facing, head left, wearing diadem with ribbons to right, cloak around shoulders clasped at chest, worn over ankle-length tunic and boots, crescent emerging from shoulders, right arm extended with hand raised in benediction, left hand on sword hilt at hip; tamgha to left, dotted border.
