L. Farsuleius Mensor. 76 BC. AR Denarius (16.5mm, 3.92 g, 6h). Rome mint. Diademed and draped bust of Libertas right; to left, LXX above pileus; S • C below chin / Warrior, holding spear and reins, standing facing, head left, in biga, assisting into chariot a togate figure to left; scorpion below horses. Crawford 392/1a; Sydenham 789a; Farsuleia 1; RBW 1430. Lightly toned, light find patina, light die rust, a few minor scratches under tone. Near EF. A wonderful portrait of Libertas.
