Lot description: LYDIA, Apollonis. Late 1st-early 2nd century AD. Æ (22mm, 9.12 g, 12h). Diademed and draped bust of the Senate right / Zeus Lydios standing left, holding eagle and long scepter. Hochard –; Kurth –; RPC II 953A. Brown patina, roughness, reverse pitting. Near VF. Extremely rare, only one known to RPC. This type, and both dies, unknown to Hochard. Estimate: 150 USD |
