BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Demetrios I Aniketos. Circa 200-185 BC. AR Tetradrachm (32.5mm, 16.70 g, 12h). Diademed and draped bust right, wearing elephant skin / Herakles standing facing, crowning himself, holding club and lion skin; monogram to inner left. Bopearachchi 1C; MPHB Group IIIA, 146 (O42/R101) = SNG ANS 187; HGC 12, 63; CNG E-484, lot 472 (same dies). Toned with traces of iridescence, areas of find patina, some porosity, area of corrosion on edge of obverse. Good VF.
