PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos. 285-246 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 12.98 g, 12h). Uncertain mint 10, on Cyprus (Salamis or Kition). Struck circa 275/4-262/1 BC. Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck, [tiny Δ behind ear] / Eagle, with closed wings, standing left on thunderbolt; to left, ΠT above two monograms; Galatian shield to right. CPE 441; Svoronos 544; SNG Copenhagen 521. Toned, flan crack, rough surfaces, cleaning scratches, double struck on obverse. VF.
