| Lot description: ISLANDS off IONIA, Chios. Circa 340-300 BC. Æ (17.5mm, 3.47 g, 5h). Hermonax, magistrate. Sphinx seated left / Amphora. Mavrogordato 56α; HGC 6, 1149. Brown surfaces, overstruck on earlier issue with sphinx seated left/cross-in-wreath types (cf. HGC 1148; plainly visible on the opposite sides of this coin). VF.
