Lot description: The Anthony Milavic Collection of Ancient Games Coins Athletics Wrestling: Grasping a leg PAMPHYLIA. Aspendos. Circa 420-410 BC. Stater (Silver, 25 mm, 10.95 g, 10 h). Two wrestlers beginning to grapple with each other, their feet are flat on the ground but their right feet are together: the righthand one grasps his opponent's belt with his right hand and his right wrist with his left; the lefthand wrestler grasps his opponent's right shoulder with his left hand and tries to grasp his right knee with his right.
