JUDAEA, Neapolis. Philip II. 247-249 CE. Æ (27mm, 16.84 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Eagle standing with wings displayed, supporting Mt. Gerizim surmounted by a temple and altar; stairway to temple on mountain face, colonnade below; star above. Cf. Harl 81 (A17/P– [unlisted rev. die]); RPC VIII Online 2324 (this coin cited); Rosenberger 101var. (rev. legend); Sofaer 195. Earthen green surfaces, scrape on obverse. Fine.
