INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kanishka I. Circa AD 127-151. CU Tetradrachm (25mm, 16.36 g, 12h). Subsidiary mint in Gandhara (Peshawar?). Unlisted phase. Kanishka standing left, sacrificing over altar and holding standard / Miiro (Mithras) standing facing, head left, raising hand in benediction; other hand on sword; tamgha to left. MK 796; cf. ANS Kushan 632 (for obv.); cf. Donum Burns 185; cf. CNG E-557, lot 195 . Earthen green and brown patina, hard green deposits, numerous cleaning marks. VF. Very rare.
