Lot description: Kings of Pontos, Mithradates VI Eupator AV Stater. First Mithradatic War issue. Tomis, circa 88-86 BC. Struck in the name and types of Lysimachos of Thrace. Diademed head of the deified Alexander to right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated to left, shield at her side; ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to right, ΛΥΣΙMΑXOY to left; ΘΕΜ to inner left, TO on throne, ornamented trident in exergue.
