The Roman Empire
Domitian. Rome. Circa 81-96. AE Dupondius 13.94 g. IMP CAES DOMITIAN AVG GERM COS XI Radiate head of Domitian to right, wearing aegis on his left shoulder / ANNONA AVG / S C Annona seated right, holding on lap by two ends a bag full of grain ears, before her, small figure standing to left, nude but for cloak, also holding two ends of bag with both hands; in background to right, ship's stern left. BMC 347. Cohen 12. RIC 367. Patina stripped and the obverse somewhat corroded, otherwise, good very fine. From a Belgian collection and from the collection of M. Druck, Stack's, 12 January 2017, 5180 (removed from NGC encapsulation since). Ex - Leu Numismatics Web Auction 19. VF/XF.
