BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Antialkidas Nikephoros. Circa 130-120 BC. AR Drachm (16mm, 2.41 g, 12h). BACILЄωC NIKHΦOPOY ANTIAΛKIΔOY, diademed and draped bust right / Zeus Nikephoros seated slightly left, holding palm frond; to left, elephant standing vertically; two monograms to inner right. Bopearachchi Série 11 (monograms unlisted); cf. Bopearachchi & Rahman 447 (for monogram); SNG ANS –; cf. MIG Type 278 (for monogram); HGC 12, 297. Toned with iridescence, doubling on reverse. Good VF. Unique monogram pair.
