Die Zuweisung des schriftlosen Obols an Kuprilli ist in der Bibliothèque nationale de France wohl aufgrund des typgleichen Staters mit Reverslegende des Kuprilli (Waddington 2904) erfolgt. Wir folgen hier dieser Zuweisung, weisen aber ausdrücklich darauf hin, daß sie keineswegs gesichert ist, denn es gibt auch einen typgleichen Stater des Ekuwemi (Bibliothèque nationale de France, Chandon de Briailles 660, https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b8473313k, dort als Incertain, Zuweisung an Ekuwemi durch Corinna Hoff). The attribution of the legend-less obol as having been minted by Kuprilli was probably made by the Bibliothèque nationale de France since a stater of the same type with reverse legend was minted by Kuprilli (Waddington 2904). Although we follow this attribution in this catalog, we expressly draw attention to the fact that this attribution is by no means definitively verified as there is also a stater of the same type issued byEkuwemi (Bibliothèque nationale de France, Chandon de Briailles 660, https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b8473313k, there as "incertain", attribution to Ekuwemi by Corinna Hoff).
