MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Philip III Arrhidaeus (323-317 BC). AV stater (19mm, 8.50 gm, 1h). NGC Choice VF 4/5 - 4/5. Lifetime issue of Babylon, ca. 323-317 BC. Head of Athena right, hair falling in loose waves, upswept at temple, wearing beaded necklace, and triple-crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, long parallel crest ends, bowl decorated with coiled serpent right / ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟY, Nike standing facing, head left, wreath in outstretched right hand, stylis cradled in left arm; ΛY below left wing, M below right wing. Price P178. Soft amber toning on marigold surfaces.
