Lot description: Diva Faustina Senior. Died AD 140/1. Æ Sestertius (32.5mm, 26.70 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck under Antoninus Pius, circa AD 141-146. Draped bust right, wearing hair bound in pearls on top of her head / Providentia standing left, holding globe and scepter. RIC III 1108 (Pius); Banti 17. Brown and red patina, some green, smoothed.
