| Lot description: ISLAMIC. Circa AH 2nd-4th century / AD 8th-10th century. Seal (Lead, 23 mm, 8.55 g), with a string hole. Illegible Kufic inscription in three lines on the obverse in the widely spaced angular script typical of the Umayyad and early ʿAbbasid period. The inscription seems to contain the name of an official, the word in the 3rd line reads 'Dāwūd' ('Da'ud'). Fine.
