KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.99 g, 12 h), Aspendos, CY 19 = 194/3. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle with closed wings in right; to left, ΑΣ above ΙΘ (date). Price 2898. A fresh and clear example. The obverse struck slightly off center and with very light deposits, otherwise, good extremely fine.
