KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 16.52 g, 12 h), Aspendos, CY 14 = 199/8. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle with closed wings in right; to left, ΑΣ above IΔ (date). Price 2893. The obverse struck a little off cente, and with minor deposits on the edge and a light planchet flaw on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
