Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, AΣ above Δ (date). Cf. Price 2882 (for prototype). Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, KH. Cf. Price 2942 (for prototype). A very attractive imitation with a bold head of Herakles. Light doubling on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

An interesting detail about this coin is that the mint mark, the letter Φ, was originally above the date on this die, but due to obscurity caused by die rust, it was reengraved once more below the throne.
