CAMPANIA. Neapolis. Circa 300-275 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 23 mm, 7.28 g, 11 h). Diademed head of a nymph to right, wearing triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace; behind, Artemis running right, holding torch; to right, monogram of AP. Rev. [NEΟΠΟΛITΩN] Man-headed bull walking right, head facing; above, Nike flying right to crown the bull. HN Italy 579. SNG ANS 352-4. SNG Copenhagen 420. Struck on a broad flan and of fine style. Light marks and with minor delamination on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
