| Lot description: MIDDLE DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. 3rd-2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 13.52 g, 8 h), 'Puppenreiter mit Triskeles' type, imitating Philip II of Macedon. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Celticized horseman to right, raising his left hand; above, zig-zag pattern; below, triskeles; in field to right, V and Π. Dembski 1350. Flesche 564 (same obverse die). Lanz 724. OTA 434/3. Beautifully toned. Nearly extremely fine.
